These Black Women Built a Luxury Olive Oil Brand on the Side

In this episode of the Hustle in Faith Podcast, we sit down with the founders of Vine & Olive, a Black-owned olive oil business built while both women were still working full-time careers. Malatrice Montgomery, a Physician Associate, and Ayanna Carver, a Director of Sales, share how they turned burnout into a business without quitting their 9–5 jobs. If you’ve ever wondered: Can I start a business while working full-time? How do I build a side hustle without burning out? What does it take to launch a Black-owned brand? How can I use my existing skills and network to start something new?

This conversation breaks it all down. You’ll learn:

How to start a business with the resources you already have

Why you don’t need to quit your job to become an entrepreneur

The power of building a community-driven business

How customer feedback helped them evolve their brand

Why mentorship and education are key to long-term growth

Vine & Olive is more than an olive oil brand.

It’s a community-centered business built around connection, experience, and purpose.

This episode is for women in business, aspiring entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and especially Black women professionals who are ready to build something of their own.
