This week’s episode will discuss how artist Shanel Romain’s faith meets fine art. I enjoyed speaking with Shanel Romain.

She’s a teacher, photographer, and an incredibly talented Christian artist. Themes of faith, family, and colorism are prominent in her work. She wishes to eradicate the evils of colorism and featurism, which have permeated the black community.

Due to the power of images, Shanel hopes that when people see her work, which also depicts joyful, healthy family connections, they will perceive themselves in this same light and pursue and develop strong, loving relationships via marriage, parenthood, and friendship.

Remember, if you’re everything to everyone, then you risk being no one. You never know who will inspire you in the next episode!
